Victor Flatt

Torts I

The following advice was anonymously contributed on 02-23-2006:

Flatt hardly touches on intentional torts with the exception of battery.  We spent a lot of time discussing negligence and he really likes policy arguments.  He loves *creative* arguments -- no matter how far fetched they are it seems.  He is very particular about how he wants exam answers structured -- be sure to clarify this with him.  For example, he does not like exam answers with the issues split up by headings/subheadings.  Rather, he wants it to read like a book -- transitions should be in paragraph form and flow as if you're reading a novel.  As for his personality -- he's a great guy.  He's humorous and keeps the class engaged.  He's quick to say hi outside of class and is unlike other professors that forget who you are at the start of the next semester.
